Every circuit you trace today is one less spark you didn't see coming.
A diploma student asks Sumantrak
“explain the difference between AC and DC”
DC (Direct Current) flows in one constant direction, like from a battery. AC (Alternating Current) periodically reverses direction, which is what comes out of a wall socket — in India, 50 times a second (50 Hz). Viva tip: examiners often ask why power is transmitted as AC over long distances — AC voltage can be easily stepped up or down with a transformer, which means lower current and less energy lost as heat.
